Halloween Party Background with Pumpkin and Moon in the Back

Rockville has packed October full of family-friendly, Halloween-themed fun. Sign up for events using course numbers, where indicated, at www.rockvillemd.gov/life.

“Dracula”: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14; 2 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 15, F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, 603 Edmonston Drive.

Under the direction of Eleanor Simpson, the Rockville Civic Ballet presents this classic, just in time for Halloween.

$17, adults; $13, children (12 and younger) and seniors (60 and older). Box office: 240-314-8690.

Croydon Creep: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, Croydon Creek Nature Center, 852 Avery Road.

Celebrate Halloween early with a spooky nature hike, magic show and hands-on activities. $5 per child at the door. Adults and children younger than 2 are free. Children must be accompanied by adults. No advanced registration required.

Monster Mash Family Halloween Dance: 7-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, 12920 Twinbrook Parkway.

Be there in costume for pumpkin decorating, Halloween crafts and to dance the night away. Refreshments for sale from Twinbrook Elementary PTA. $4 per person at the door.

Halloween Haunt: 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, Thomas Farm Community Center.

Wear your costume for an afternoon of Halloween fun with strolling magician and magic show, D’s Magic, Squeals on Wheels petting zoo, kid-friendly haunted house, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, crafts, games and more.

$4 per person at the door. Children ages 1 and younger are free.

Tiny Tot Halloween Spooktacular: 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, Thomas Farm Community Center.

This special event is designed just for tiny children and their parents. Come in costume and enjoy a morning of crafts, games, refreshments and Halloween fun. $3 for residents; $4 for nonresidents. Register for course #1124.

Trick or Treat: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, Lincoln Park Community Center.

Stop by while you’re out trick or treating for candy and a cup of hot chocolate. Free.

Note: Pumpkin Carving and Trick or Treat Bag Decorating, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14, at Lincoln Park Community Center, has been canceled.
