Water and Sewer Rates Are Up Next for Budget Discussions

Online Survey Continues to Offer Opportunity for Input

Following two public hearings on the Fiscal Year 2019 budget in the fall, the Mayor and Council are turning their attention in December to the city’s water and sewer rates, while continuing to seek input online about the community’s budget priorities.

City staff will give a presentation about Rockville’s water and sewer rates during the Mayor and Council meeting on Monday, Dec. 11. A public hearing on Monday, Jan. 8 will give community members an opportunity to provide feedback about the rates. Learn how to testify in the right-hand column on this page. As part of the budget process, the Mayor and Council will set water and sewer rates for FY 2019, FY 2020 and FY 2021.

Community members are invited to visit www.rockville
md.gov/budget to learn more about the budget process, and to use the city’s online survey to identify priorities for the operating budget and Capital Improvements Program for FY 2019, which begins July 1.
