A Pink October in Rockville for Breast Cancer Awareness

The Rockville City Police Department is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with pink badge patches and mourning bands for officers, and pink polos, ribbons and lanyards for civilian employees. Employees in other city departments are being encouraged to wear pink as well and the Mayor and Council are scheduled to raise awareness about the importance of early detection through regular mammograms with a proclamation during their meeting on Monday, Oct. 8.
