At the F. Scott Theater: A Shipboard Romp, Singalong, Videogame Music and a Knight’s Tale

“Anything Goes,” presented by Rockville Musical Theatre, is a hilarious shipboard romp, wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s most magical scores. It’s delightful, delicious and de-lovely! Directed by Dana Robinson, musical direction by Stuart Weich and choreography by Hayley North.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, July 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21; at 2 p.m. Sundays, July 15 and 22. Tickets are $25 for adults; $23 for seniors (62 and older) and students.

The premiere of “Lancelot,” an original ballet presented by the Rockville Civic Ballet, is one knight’s tale of romance and adventure, directed by Eleanor Simpson. Performances at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28 and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29. Tickets are $17 for adults; $13 for seniors (60 and older) and children (12 and under).

The “Sixth Great Gilbert and Sullivan Sing-Out,” presented by the Victorian Lyric Opera Company.

Kick off VLOC’s 40th anniversary season by helping civic theater companies from around the country sing through the complete musical scores of all 13 of intact Gilbert and Sullivan operettas.

Performances at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31; at 9 a.m., 1:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1; and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2. Tickets cost $28 for adults; $24 for seniors (65 and older); and $20 for students.

“Chambers & Consoles,” presented by the Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra. At 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, WMGSO’s small ensembles bring to life music from big game and indie titles in their annual summer tribute to videogame music. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
