Arbor Day on Friday, April 27, is the perfect time to celebrate your love of trees and nature with a visit to “World of Nature,” at the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery.
The exhibition features “Trees of the World” — large paintings by Victoria Arana. A member of the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts, Arana says she expresses her zest for living “on this splendidly endowed planet, by condensing my observations into iconic arrangements.”
The video installations of Lynda Andrews-Barry’s “Here Today, Gone Tomorrow,” turns nature upside down, inviting the viewer to mix sky and water, and to think of common stones as gems.
Finally, the reliquaries and found object, mixed-media assemblages of Lisa Tayerle brings nature to tiny triptychs, where it can be observed as sacred.
The exhibition runs until Friday, April 27.
