City Police Welcome Community to Tour Their Home

An open house at the city’s police station this month offers an opportunity to get to know the men and women who protect and serve Rockville.

The Rockville City Police Department will welcome the community to an open house from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, featuring vehicle and equipment displays, a K-9 demonstration, a moon bounce, face painting, a DJ, pumpkin decorating, food, information booths, a visit by McGruff the Crime Dog, and the opportunity to meet city police offers.

Officers will offer guided tours of the RCPD’s home in the old post office building at 2 W. Montgomery Ave. Free parking is available just two blocks away at City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave.
