Doing Business with the City?

One-Stop Registration Offers Option for Finding Minority-, Female- Or Disabled-owned Companies

Connecting minority-, female- or disabled-run companies that want to do business with the city became a little easier in February.

That’s when Rockville joined Montgomery County’s Inter-Agency Central Vendor Registration System, a one-stop registration system for companies interested in providing goods and services to Rockville or four county procurement agencies that are part of the system.

The city’s Minority, Female, and Disabled-owned Businesses Outreach Program, which is now in its third year, seeks to enable those vendors to more easily do business with the city. The registration system will allow city staff to more easily find and connect with minority-, female- and disabled-owned vendors from which they can purchase goods and services.

Montgomery County Government, Montgomery College, Montgomery County Public Schools, Housing Opportunities Commission and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission are also members of the Inter-Agency Central Vendor Registration System.

Vendors interested in registration can find more information at https://mcipcc.net. To learn more about Rockville’s MFD program, visit www.rockvillemd.gov/231/Procurement.
