Concerns and Requests

Police

The Rockville City Police Department is a fully accredited agency that works with the community to provide the best police protection, services, education and
enforcement. The department is committed to community policing that ensures the safety and protection of homes, businesses, schools and the people who occupy them. Parking

Rockville maintains its parking meters and lots, enforces parking regulations, issues parking permits for residential areas and collects parking fines. Learn more at www.rockvillemd.gov/parking.

Meet with the Mayor or a Councilmember

Meet with the mayor or a councilmember during drop-in sessions held monthly from 5:30-6:30 p.m., before a Monday meeting of the Mayor and Council. Call the City Clerk’s Office at 240-314-8280 to sign up.

Elections and Voting

The city holds elections for a mayor and four councilmembers every four years. The next city election will be in 2023. Registered voters who live within Rockville’s corporate limits may vote in city elections. Learn more about city elections and registering to vote at www.rockvillemd.gov/election.

Centers and Facilities

Each home in Rockville is within a short walk of a city park. The city is home to more than 1,000 acres of parkland throughout 33 passive and 32 active parks. With a civic center, community centers, a nature center, swim and fitness center, senior center and a full range of outdoor recreation amenities, Rockville offers a variety of recreational opportunities for all residents.
