New Police Chief to be Sworn In June 18

Meet and Greet to Follow Ceremony

Victor Brito will be sworn in as chief of the Rockville City Police Department at a ceremony before the Mayor and Council meeting on Monday, June 18.

The swearing-in ceremony begins at 6 p.m. in the Mayor and Council Chambers at City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave. A reception will follow, giving members of the community the opportunity to meet and greet the new chief. The Mayor and Council meeting follows at 7 p.m.

Victor Brito Swearing-In e-flier.City Manager Rob DiSpirito named Brito as Rockville’ next police chief May 22. He comes to Rockville after serving as Hagerstown’s police chief, following 25 years with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C.
