Rockville is Tops in State on Clean Energy Scorecard

The City of Rockville was the top-scoring Maryland municipality in a 2020 analysis of cities’ energy efficiency and renewable energy strategies.

Rockville scored points on the City Clean Energy Scorecard for electric vehicle charging stations at Thomas Farm Community Center.

Rockville received a score of 27 out of 70, placing it seventh among 30 small and mid-sized cities nationally ranked on the City Clean Energy Scorecard. The self-scoring tool by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy measured energy efficiency and greenhouse gas-related metrics, policies and programs. It was the first time the city participated in the analysis, which also ranked the Maryland municipalities of Takoma Park, Annapolis, Edmonston, College Park and Thurmont.
