Rockville will honor veterans of our nation’s armed forces with a virtual ceremony on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11.
The ceremony will be broadcast at 11 a.m. on Rockville 11 (channel 11 on county cable), at youtube.com/cityofrockville and on the city’s Facebook page.
The online ceremony will include a message from Mayor Bridget Donnell Newton and guest speaker Councilmember David Myles.
A Navy veteran and pediatrician by training, Myles is serving his first term on Rockville’s Mayor and Council. After graduating Yale University with a doctor of medicine and Master of Science in psychology, he moved to Maryland to pursue pediatrics residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
