Swim Center to Close for Annual Cleaning and Maintenance

The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center is gearing up for its annual August spruce up.

Indoor facilities will be temporarily closed for cleaning and repairs during August and the start of September.

The North Pool and whirlpool will be closed Aug. 11-26, reopening Aug. 27. Improvements will include re-grouting for the whirlpool and repaired patches of white coat in North Pool.

Indoor locker rooms will be closed Aug. 25-Sept. 3, reopening Sept. 4. Staff will replace broken tiles, replace shower stems, touch up paint and deep clean the locker rooms.

The South Pool and fitness wing will be closed Aug. 27-Sept. 3, reopening Sept. 4. Both areas will receive a deep cleaning and touchup paint throughout.

The front desk and lobby will not be accessible from Aug. 27-31, and will reopen on Sept. 1 to process registrations and memberships.
