A “near miss” is an incident in which a person driving, walking or bicycling avoids a crash by suddenly stopping, swerving or moving. Residents and visitors who have experienced near misses in Rockville are encouraged to submit details of the incident through the Vision Zero Near Miss Survey at www.rockvillemd.gov/visionzero.
This information will supplement the city’s annual crash analysis and help the city better understand the transportation-, pedestrian- and bicycle-safety experience in Rockville.
For help completing the survey, call the Rockville Senior Center at 240-314-8816.
