What’s Hot This Month at the F. Scott

Enjoy a psychological mystery, swing, and a world of magic and romance, this month at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, 603 Edmonston Drive.

Rockville Little Theatre presents “Bad Seed.”

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Feb. 4 and 5 and 2 p.m. Feb. 6. Tickets: $22; $20, seniors (62 and older) and students.

Christine Penmark seems to have it all, but when a child drowns under suspicious circumstances, the whole town starts to speculate about what really happened.

Was it truly an accident? Was it a classmate? Who knows more than they’re telling? Christine’s secret past is revealed and the fear grows to a chilling finale in this psychological thriller.

The Rockville Concert Band presents “Swing, Swing, Swing.”

A concert with guest ensemble, the Rockville Swing Band, 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, conducted by director Juan Gallastegui.

Tickets will be required for seating and social distancing will be in place.

Victorian Lyric Opera Company presents “Iolanthe.”

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Feb. 25, 26 and March 4, 5; 2 p.m. Feb. 27 and March 6. Tickets: $28; $26, seniors; $24, students.

A world of magic, wonder and fairies is not so far from our own, as young Strephon knows all too well. Aided by his band of immortal fairies, including his mother, Iolanthe, Strephon attempts to woo the beautiful Phyllis, but the influential Lord Chancellor has other plans.

The show features some of Gilbert and Sullivan’s most memorable tunes, including “When Britain Ruled the Waves” and “Loudly Let the Trumpets Bray.” Directed by Jacklyn and Kathie Rogers. Music direction by Joseph Sorge.
