CITY HALL, IN A NEW LIGHT

light bulb replacement

Contractors in March installed new energy-efficient light-emitting diode, also known as LED, lights with occupancy sensors at City Hall. The project upgrades 325 interior light fixtures on the second floor, including 256 sensors to reduce energy costs, maintenance and greenhouse gas emissions. Funding for the project leverages a $35,000 grant from the Maryland Energy Administration and Pepco utility rebates to work towards the Mayor and Council’s goals of leading by example to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from municipal facilities.
