Begin a Holiday Tradition at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre

December offers lots of opportunities to adopt a new annual tradition for the holidays with a visit to Rockville’s F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre.

Rockville Civic Ballet presents “The Nutcracker”
Saturdays, Dec. 3 and 10, at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, Dec. 4 and 11 at 2 p.m.
Under the direction of Eleanor Simpson, the Rockville Civic Ballet presents the holiday classic that has become a Rockville tradition. Join Clara on her magical journey.
Tickets: $17; $13, seniors (62-plus) and students.

Hope Garden Children’s Ballet presents “A Christmas Carol”
Saturday, Dec. 17 at 1:30 and 6 p.m.
This classic Charles Dickens tale, set in 19th century London, is crafted by artistic director and choreographer Fran Ichijo with exquisite dancing, costumes and set.
Tickets: $22; $19 youth/senior/military.

Rockville Concert Band presents “Winter Is Icumen In”
Sunday, Dec. 18 at 3 p.m.
Music ancient and modern depicting snow, ice, sleigh rides and fantasies, conducted by Music Director John Saint Amour.
No tickets required; $5 suggested donation.

Rockville Chorus Holiday Concert presents “Let it Snow!”
Sunday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Sit back, relax and enjoy mostly snow-themed songs of the season from a 90-voice-strong chorus. Refreshments follow the show.
No tickets required; $5 suggested donation.
