It’s Electrifying! Climate Solutions Speaker Series to Examine Electricity and Reducing Waste at Home

Upcoming free, virtual presentations from Rockville’s Climate Solutions Speaker Series will explore energy efficiency and how to reduce waste at home.

Thursday, Oct. 6: “Electrify Everything.” 7-8 p.m. Virtual. October is Energy Action Month and this year’s theme is “Electrify Everything.” Join Montgomery County Residential Energy Program Manager Larissa Johnson as she shares four things you can do right now to electrify your home. Once you make these changes, your home will be more comfortable, your indoor and outdoor air quality will be healthier, your monthly bills will be lower, and you will keep more money in your pocket. Thursday, Nov. 3: “How to Reduce Waste at Home.” 7-8 p.m. Virtual. Learn practical steps you can take at home to reduce waste and lower your carbon footprint. Presented by Brenda Platt from the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. Get tips on reducing food waste, food scrap composting, repurposing and reusing items, recycling, and more.
