Explore the County’s Prehistory at Glenview with Peerless Rockville

Discover how early inhabitants of Montgomery County adapted to their environment with tool use and social development as the Glenview Mansion and Peerless Rockville Speaker Series hosts a free, live presentation by archaeologist Don Housley.

Housley, president of the Mid-Potomac Chapter of the Archeological Society of Maryland, will present “Prehistory in Montgomery County: A 12,000-Year Story” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at Glenview Mansion at Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive.

The illustrated presentation about the peopling of the region traces the Paleo-Indian, Archaic and Woodland periods before European contact, and explains how we know what we know about the people who lived here.

The event is free, but registration is required at www.eventbrite.com/e/prehistory-in-montgomery-county-a-12000-year-story-tickets-381337589997.
