New Senior Guide to Debut

2017 Senior Center Spring Guide.

“Adults 60+” is the newest publication from the City of Rockville, one created specifically for adults 60 and older.

“Designed just for you, this newly developed guide contains all your old favorites as well as newly developed services, classes, programs and events, Senior Services Manager Terri Hilton writes in her introduction to the magazine. “Each of the sections in this guide begin with an article that may help you learn something new or develop a new interest.”

The guide, produced in response to feedback received during the city’s Senior Needs Assessment and Gap Analysis Study, highlights courses, events and programs specifically for older adults available at the Rockville Senior Center and other locations in the city.

Registration for Senior Center activities begins Tuesday, March 7, for members and Thursday, March 9 for nonmembers.

Pick up a copy from the Senior Center, any of the three community centers, Croydon Creek Nature Center, City Hall, the Swim and Fitness Center, or Twinbrook and Rockville libraries, or view it online at www.rockvillemd.gov/seniorcenter. The guide will also be mailed to anyone 60 and older who is registered with the Recreation and Parks Department.
