Make Your Yard a Certified Community Wildlife Habitat

Last year, Rockville became the 88th National Wildlife Federation-certified Community Wildlife Habitat in the United States.

Join the city as we celebrate and thank the 200 homeowners and 14 schools, businesses, places of worship and public recreation facilities that made this achievement possible from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 in the Mayor and Council Chambers at City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave.

Learn more at www.rockvillemd.gov/wildlifehabitat.

Community members can learn how to earn the certification for their yard by restoring habitats with native plants, eliminating pesticides and providing animals with food, water, cover and places to raise young. Light refreshments will be provided.

Please RSVP at [email protected] or 240-314-8870.
