The sycamore tree in Horizon Hill Park may just be a 15-foot tall stump right now, but Rockville’s hoping it can become a work of art. The city’s Recreation and Parks Department and Cultural Arts Commission are seeking artists experienced in working with wood to transform the stump into something special. Applications will be accepted for the arts project until May 31.
