Maryland Women’s Business Center Year in Review

The Maryland Women’s Business Center, a program of Rockville Economic Development, Inc., helps people in our community start and grow women-owned businesses positioned for long-term growth.

During MWBC’s most-recent fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30, the nonprofit’s accomplishments included assisting with:

  • 502 clients receiving business counseling.
  • 58 business starts.
  • 123 jobs created.
  • 53 jobs retained.
  • $1.9 million in sales growth.
  • $874,370 in capital infusion.
  • Developing new strategic partnerships.MWBC conducts training, offers technical assistance and provides resources for women-owned enterprises. The center holds workshops at the offices MWBC shares with REDI, at 51 Monroe St., Plaza Level East, Suite 20. Learn more at www.marylandwbc.org.
