City Hall, Facilities to Close Several Days in November

Rockville City Hall will be closed for Election Day on Nov. 6, in observance of Veterans Day on Nov. 12, and on Thanksgiving and Nov. 23. Other city facilities will be closed or will operate on limited schedules.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 6 (Election Day): City Hall, Rockville Senior Center, Glenview Mansion and the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be closed. Lincoln Park and Thomas Farm community centers will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Twinbrook Community Recreation Center will be open regular hours, 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m. All other city facilities will be open, and recycling and trash will be collected, as usual.
  •  Monday, Nov. 12 (Veterans Day observed): City Hall, the senior center, Glenview Mansion and the theater box office will be closed. Croydon Creek Nature Center is closed on Mondays. All other city facilities will open as usual. Recycling and trash will be suspended and will be made one day later through the week, with Thursday collection on Friday.   • Thursday, Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving Day) and Friday, Nov. 23: City Hall, the Senior Center, Glenview Mansion and the Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be closed. Fitzgerald theater tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre. Recycling and trash normally collected on Thursdays will be collected Friday, Nov. 23.   • Facilities closed Nov. 22 and open for the following hours Nov. 23: Croydon Creek Nature Center (10 a.m.-2 p.m.); Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers (10 a.m.-6 p.m.). Rockville Swim and Fitness Center north pool and fitness room (6 a.m.-9 p.m.). South pool closed. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter for more information.
  • Parking at city-owned meters will be free on Nov. 6, 12, 22 and 23.
