Alert: City Water May Be Discolored, Crews Working to Clear System

City crews are continuing to flush water systems following a main supply line leak that has caused some city water users to experienced discolored water. Residual discoloration may still be occurring in some pockets of the city.

The water is not harmful, but washing clothes is not recommended.

The city recommends going to the highest level of your home and running cold water for 15 minutes. If the water does not clear, call the city’s Utilities Division at 240-314-8567.
