The city recently completed four sidewalk projects in the ongoing effort to support safety for pedestrians in Rockville.
- Falls Road, along the west side of Falls Road (MD 189) between Wootton Parkway and West Kersey Lane.
- Monroe Street Phase II, on the west side of Monroe Street between Cabin John Parkway and the asphalt path from New Mark Esplanade. The project included minor roadway narrowing in select locations, curb and gutter replacement, and minor drainage modifications.
- Laird Street between West Montgomery and Anderson avenues. The project cost about $20,000 and was paid for by the previous developer of Chestnut Lodge.
- Fleet Street and Ritchie Parkway is an approximately 500-foot sidewalk section that fills the gap between Copperstone Court and the Millenium Trail on Wootton Parkway.
