Rockville to Recognize City
Employees for Their Service

The Rockville Mayor and Council plan to designate May 7-13 as National Public Service Week with a proclamation at their Monday, May 1 meeting.

The City of Rockville has more than 600 regular and temporary employees. Public Service Recognition Week is organized annually by the Public Employees Roundtable (PER) and its member organizations to honor men and women who serve as federal, state, county and local government employees.

The goals of the week are to:

Connect and educate citizens nationwide to the work of their government.
Improve the perception and morale of public servants.
Help inspire a new generation of public servants.
