IT Upgrades Mean Network
Outages at Rockville Facilities on Nov. 10

Telephone, Internet and Wi-Fi to Be Affected at City Government Facilities

Upgrades to the City of Rockville’s information technology network will affect city’s internet service and phone lines at some centers and facilities on Friday, Nov. 10. The outages will at begin 9 a.m. and last about eight hours.

Rockville City Hall, Glenview Mansion and the Senior Center will be closed Nov. 10 in recognition of Veterans Day, which this year falls on a Saturday.

The following information relates to centers and facilities open on Nov. 10:

Rockville City Police Department

Call 301-279-8000 for nonemergency police calls. As always, call 911 in an emergency.

Rockville Swim and Fitness Center

The center will operate during posted hours, however, during the outage, RSFC staff will be unable to answer calls to the regular phone line. Customers should plan to spend a few extra moments at the front desk as staff will be processing transactions manually. Throughout the day, the center can be reached at an alternative, temporary number: 240-876-7696.

Croydon Creek Nature Center

The center will be open from 10-2 p.m., but be unable to take phone calls or registration for classes, and be unable to access email. Customers won’t be able to buy items from the center’s store. Throughout the day, the center can be reached at an alternative, temporary number: 240-876-7619.

Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and Glenview Mansion

Glenview Mansion will be closed. The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be open from 5-8 p.m., but will be unable to take calls, respond to voice messages, or take last minute ticket sales by phone. Throughout the day, the box office can be reached at an alternative, temporary number: 240-509-1341. Online ticketing sales will be unaffected. Tickets can be purchased online at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre.

Community Centers

Thomas Farm Community Center will be open from 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Visitors will be unable to register for city programs, purchase facility memberships and rentals. Any daily pass purchased will be processed the following day. Throughout the day, the center can be reached at an alternative, temporary number: 240-509-1345.

Lincoln Park Community Center will be open from 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Visitors will unable to register for city programs, purchase facility memberships and rentals. Any daily pass purchased will be processed the following day. Throughout the day, the center can be reached at an alternative, temporary number: 240-509-1342.

Twinbrook Community Center will be open from 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Visitors will be unable to register for city programs, purchase facility memberships and rentals. Any daily pass purchased will be processed the following day. Throughout the day, the center can be reached at an alternative, temporary number: 240-314-1344.

Visitors will be unable to access city Wi-Fi at affected centers.
