Mayor and Council to Hear Updates on Town Center Initiative

An update on ongoing strategies to improve and strengthen the vitality of Rockville Town Center will come before the Mayor and Council on Jan. 4.

The update and discussion, to be held via teleconference, will center on three agenda items: wayfinding and signage in Rockville, with a special focus on Town Center; an update on the Town Center initiative to strengthen the area’s vitality; and a discussion on the potential to develop special districts (for example, districts for business improvement and arts and entertainment), to help promote downtown Rockville.

More information will be available in the staff report accompanying the discussion nearer to the meeting date. Find the report at www.rockvillemd.gov/AgendaCenter.

The meeting will be broadcast live on channel 11 on county cable systems, livestreamed at www.rockvillemd.gov/rockville11 and available a day after the meeting at www.rockvillemd.gov/videoondemand.
