State Responds to Mayor and Council’s Call for Vaccine

Acting state health Secretary Dennis R. Schrader outlined Maryland’s efforts to distribute the state’s allocation of COVID-19 vaccines in a Feb. 2 letter to Rockville’s Mayor and Council.

The letter comes in response to a Jan. 26 letter in which the Mayor and Council demanded that Maryland send more vaccine to Montgomery County.

“The City is deeply concerned about the low number of vaccines that are being distributed to the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), relative to other Maryland jurisdictions,” the letter said.
