Celebrate the coming of spring by getting outside and exploring Rockville’s historic and unique places with Peerless Rockville.
Building on the success of October’s scavenger hunt and tour, the latest Explore Rockville event, scheduled for Thursday, March 18-Sunday, March 21, will feature more than 15 sites – all new – across the city. Tour stops are a surprise and are likely to take you to places you’ve never been to learn the history of sites you pass by all the time. Participants are asked to observe public health requirements with face masks and social distancing.
Each household will receive a link to a printable program featuring instructions and activities for each stop, as well as the link to a virtual program with highlights of a tour at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 21. The self-guided tour is designed for households to safely explore sites across the city, learn new details about the world around them and enjoy communal pride through social media and a Zoom gathering. Cost is $15 per household.
Spots are limited. Earn a cool commemorative pin (limit two per household) for completing the tour by tagging Peerless Rockville on social media, signing its website guestbook or emailing your scavenger hunt results. Learn more and register at peerlessrockville.org.
