Public Hearing and Survey Provide Final Opportunities for Budget Input

2022 Budget Cover

Rockville’s Mayor and Council begin wrapping up budget deliberations this month with their final scheduled public hearing and work session before the scheduled adoption of the Fiscal Year 2022 budget.

The budget, which covers the fiscal year that begins July 1, is scheduled for adoption on Monday, May 3.

The proposed operating budget of $139.7 million is a decrease of less than 1% from the FY 2021 adopted budget and addresses financial pressures on the Rockville community due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Find video of the city manager’s proposed budget presentation with the Feb. 22 meeting listing at www.rockvillemd.gov/AgendaCenter.
