Rockville City Academy Offers a Fresh Perspective on Rockville’s Government

The Rockville City Academy returns in May, offering community members an opportunity to better understand how the City of Rockville operates, with a closer look at city departments and services.

This year’s academy will be virtual, with four sessions connecting participants with some of the city staff who help keep Rockville running. Sessions will be held 7:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 18-27, and will allow participation from the comfort and safety of home.

Registration will be open Thursday, April 1-Monday, May 10 at www.rockvillemd.gov/
academy
. Spaces are limited. Participants must be 16 or older. Student Service Learning hours are available. Topics will include:

  • Understanding the City of Rockville.
  • Housing and community development.
  • Rockville development and permitting.
  • Community-friendly policing.
