Trade your gas pedal for bicycle pedals on Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 21.
The Montgomery County Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and Washington Area Bicyclist Association will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Bike To Work Day with a free T-shirt for the first 15,000 people in the Washington metropolitan region to register.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, this year’s celebration will feature nontraditional pit stops where bike commuters can stop by on their way to work. Telecommuters are encouraged to bike a mock commute to a pit stop and pick up a T-shirt.
Registration is now open for all 15 Montgomery County pit stops. Visit www.biketoworkmetrodc.org for registration, an interactive map of pit stop locations and more information.
