A Holiday Classic, Looking to the Sky and a Folk Gathering at the F. Scott Theater

Rockville Musical Theater presents the holiday classic “White Christmas,” based on the beloved, timeless film beginning in October at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, 603 edmonston Drive. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. Directed and choreographed by Duane Monahan. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 27, 28 and Nov. 3, 4, 10 and 11; 2 p.m., Sundays, Nov. 5 and 12. Tickets: $22; $20, seniors (62 and older)/students.

Rockville Concert Band presents “To the Sky!,” music that describes all things above our heads, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8. No tickets required, but a $5 donation is suggested. Conducted by Music Director John A. Saint Amour.

The World Folk Music Association presents “Remembering Oscar Brand.” Folk music stars from across the country gather to celebrate the life of the legendary singer-songwriter and long-time radio host.

A concert will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, with a reception to follow. Tickets: premium, $84; standard, $53. Reception tickets are $38.
