Be a TERRIFIC Citizen
and Earn a Free Bike

TERRIFIC kids can receive a reconditioned bike, free, for doing good deeds.

Rockville is giving away free bicycles in 2017 to students in grades one through five, and all those kids need to do to get one is to prove they’re a TERRIFIC citizen — Trustworthy, Earnest, Respectful, Responsible, Involved, Fair, Industrious and Caring.

To be eligible, students must have a sponsor to monitor their progress fulfilling six out of 16 “good deeds,” such as perfect attendance in school for one month, volunteering with a charity, picking up litter in a public place, or helping someone who is sick or elderly.

All successful participants receive a certificate for taking part and are invited to attend the Rockville Mayor and Council meeting, Monday, May 1, at 7 p.m. Awardees receive their reconditioned bikes and new helmets at a special event, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m., Sunday, May 21, hosted by Rockville Bike Hub.

Bike donations will be received from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 at the Glenview Mansion parking lot, 603 Edmonston Drive. For more details, email rockvillebikehub@gmail.com or visit www.rockvillebikehub.org.
