Brooklyn Singer Castriota to
Perform at April’s Gallery
Opening

Olivia Castriota, a Brooklyn-based singer and songwriter, will provide entertainment at April’s opening reception for the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery.

Last summer, Castriota released her debut album, “All At Once,” which peaked at No. 2 in the R&B/soul category of the iTunes U.S. new album release charts.

Castriota performs at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 2, in the mansion’s living room. The exhibition opens at 1:30 p.m. and features the work of four artists:

Jennifer Kahn Barlow.

In “Delicious Moments,” Jennifer Kahn Barlow immortalizes life’s precious instances — family, friends, a great view or delicious treat — and has a passion for painting food and confections.

Sara Leibman.

Sara Leibman’s “Seasons of Trees” depicts the beauty of the earth primarily in oils, but sometimes incorporating media that includes collage and yupo paper.
Coriolana Simon will present a body of photographs that reinterpret classic still-life paintings of the 17th-century Dutch golden age in “Time’s Mirror.”

Barbara Bell’s “In Plain Sight” is about understanding our place in the natural world and our connections to its rhythms and cycles. Bell’s watercolors attempt to capture elements of a world often overlooked by the casual observer.

This event is free and open to the public. The exhibition runs April 2-May 12. No tickets or reservations required. The gallery is ADA accessible.

The art gallery is open 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday. Learn more at www.rockvillemd.gov/glenviewgallery.
