Building a Better Recreation Pool

Outdoor Rec Pool to Close Aug. 16 for Renovations

The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center’s outdoor recreation pool will close at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, to allow a comprehensive renovation and reconfiguration to begin.

These will include improvements to accessibility, and modernized amenities and infrastructure that will provide new recreational features and pools for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Construction is expected to last through May 2025. To accommodate renovation construction, other areas of the complex, including the outdoor fitness pool, indoor pools and fitness room are planned to remain open throughout the construction.
