Check Once, Check Twice

State, county and city actions to slow the spread of COVID-19 mean uncertainty for activities, programs and facility hours in the City of Rockville.

In addition to holiday closures announced in the December print edition of “Rockville Reports,” city government offices will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24 to give employees an extra day to spend with their families, City Manager Rob DiSpirito announced Dec. 21. The remainder of the holiday schedule is as follows:

Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25 and New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 1: City Hall and most city facilities will be closed. Recycling and trash is not collected on Fridays. Collections will occur as usual during these holiday weeks.

The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open to residents and facility members only, with limited services and activities on Dec. 24 and 31, and will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter for details.
