City Offers Counseling, Art Therapy for Children and Teens

Free short-term counseling and art therapy services are available for children and teenagers who live in the City of Rockville, or attend school within the city limits.

The City of Rockville Community Services Division, a certified regional youth services provider, provides counseling to children and teenagers who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems related to their personal, social or family well-being.

Children and teenagers who are uninsured, under-insured or unable to access mental health services for other reasons may be eligible for these services. Referrals are usually made by family members, school staff or county agencies. Weekly counseling and art therapy sessions are held in the Community Services Division office at City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave. and may also be available in the community.

To determine eligibility, or for additional information, please call the Community Services Division at 240-314-8310.
