Looking to buy a home but worried about affordability? Eligible households can apply to buy homes at reduced prices.
The city’s Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit Homeownership program requires for-sale properties to be available to Rockville residents at more affordable prices than for-sale market-rate homes.
Under the city’s MPDU program, homebuilders are required to set aside a certain percentage of affordable for-sale homes. Prospective homebuyers must meet specific requirements to maintain ownership and eligibility.
Be added to the list in three easy steps to receive a call when MPDU homes are available:
- Attend a first-time homebuyer class.
- Obtain a mortgage pre-approval letter from your bank.
- Fill out the city’s MPDU homeownership application online.
