Community Invited to Celebrate Baseball Legend at Park Rededication

Isreal park re-dedication invite

Join Lincoln Park Community Center, the Mayor and Council, and members of the Isreal family, from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, July 8, for a ribbon cutting to rededicate Clarence “Pint” Isreal Park, and an event to celebrate the community.

The community center and Isreal Park are located at 357 Frederick Ave.

The newly upgraded park includes a new pavilion, walking path, benches, a walkway to the tennis courts and open space for play.

The community day celebration will feature a special performance of “Little Bit a Blues” with Lincoln Park’s own Jay Summerour and Eric Shelby, as well as vendors and other entertainment.

In the event of rain, the ceremony and celebration will be moved inside Lincoln Park Community Center.
