No-Cost At-Home Testing

Some Rockville residents may be eligible for free at-home testing

Montgomery County rapid response teams conduct no-cost home visits for COVID-19 testing seven days a week to improve access to testing and COVID-19-related medical care for Montgomery County residents who:

• Live in geographic areas highly impacted by COVID-19.

• Are members of population groups disproportionally affected by COVID-19.

• Are homebound or facing significant barriers to testing.

• Have complex or unique household situations in which home-based COVID-19 testing would be more effective than community COVID-19 testing.

Tips for Being Safe and Staying Healthy

The City of Rockville will follow recently issued county guidance for this year’s Halloween celebrations.

Community members are reminded that it is still important to follow best practices for staying safe, including:

  • Wearing face coverings while in public.
  • Maintaining physical distancing of at least 6 feet between individuals
  • Refraining from gatherings of more than one person or household per 200 square feet, or a maximum of 50 people, whichever number is lower.
  • Washing your hands or using hand sanitizer often.

Following these best practices and reducing the spread of COVID-19 is a critical step toward moving the county and city into the third phase of recovery and further easing restrictions.

For more information about county health orders, reopening information and COVID-19 data, visit www.montgomerycountymd.gov/covid19.

This post has been updated to reflect a modification due to weather for the Oct. 30 testing.
