Mental Health and Safety 

Officers from the Rockville City Police Department will discuss resources that are available for seniors, including mental health counseling, coping skills and preventing victimization.

Stress Reduction/Meditation 

Offers the tools to focus, relax, and come to a more peaceful sense of being, with time for meditation and discussion.

Corrective Exercises to Reduce Knee Pain: A Holistic Approach 

A step-by-step six-week holistic program to reduce knee pain for those aged 45 to 80-plus.

Aphasia Support Group 

For stroke survivors with aphasia.

Self-Help Massage Tips for Your Good Health 


Learn easy self-help massage techniques for you or your family to help with headaches and stomachaches, reduce pain and swelling, and ease tension and stress.

AARP Driver Safety 

Tune up your driving skills, learn safe driving strategies and refresh your knowledge of the rules of the road. Some Maryland insurance companies consider course participants eligible for discounts. 

Register with course #33027. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. The cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for nonmembers. Cash or check only. 

Financial Tips, Tax Preparation and Health Screening 

Get financial tips and determine what you need to prepare your 2024 tax return. While there, get a health screening. A wellness clinic and vaccines will be available.

How Money Works 

A financial coach will tell you how to make responsible, well-informed decisions and get the best value for the dollars you spend.

Better Breather’s Club 

Meetings discuss tips and education about breathing issues.

Healthy Aging: Nutrition and Exercise for the Older Adult 

Defines healthy eating for older adults and discusses the key to longevity using nutrition and exercise.

Finding Relief from Spinal Stenosis 

Treatments for spinal disorders will be discussed.

The Rockville Senior Center will be closed on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. Transportation will be available for seniors wishing to vote. Call the senior center at 240-314-8810 by Thursday, Oct. 31 to book a ride. Provide your address and polling place location when you call.
