Your Heart, Your Life Series: Lessons providing information for healthy lifestyle changes. Presented by Adventist HealthCare.

  • Session 9 — Eat in a Heart Healthy Way Even When Time or Money is Tight. Register with course #22034. Tuesday, June 7.


Back Pain and Sciatica: Dr. Carlos Martinez from CAM Physical Therapy and Wellness Services will share how back pain and sciatica affect us, the causes of back pain, the anatomy of the back, how a physical therapist can help, and pain-management strategies. Activities for People with Dementia and Memory Problems: Learn skills to provide daily activities for loved ones, including artistic, social, work and exercise. Presented by Maria Khadar, director of JK House of Grace. Register with course #21893. Thursday, May 12.

Stroke: Hope Through Science: Identify risk factors, prevention and the latest treatment options for strokes. Presented by Terri Cook, a registered nurse with Adventist HealthCare. Register with course #22035. Tuesday, May 17.

The Influence of Family on Society: The impact of family plays a major role in the experiences we have. Take part and share thoughts to help build a better, happier future by supporting family life, education and training. Presented by Bill Neely of Getting Along Better, LLC. Arthritis: “Why Do My Joints Hurt?” Learn about the various forms of arthritis, who is affected, if there is a cure and what to do to keep moving. Presented by Dr. Carlos Martinez of CAM Physical Therapy and Wellness Services. Register with course #21876. Wednesday, June 1.

Hands-On CPR:
Learn the history of CPR, and the signs and symptoms of stroke and heart attack. Hands-on practice; limited to 10 participants. Presented by Adventist HealthCare. (Not a certification course.)
