The city’s recent closure and repaving of Gibbs Street allowed Rockville Town Square to launch the Streetery on Gibbs, featuring enhanced outdoor seating and a more welcoming environment for people to gather as COVID-19 pandemic restrictions ease and new restaurants open. Planters have been installed on Gibbs Street near East Middle Lane, and at the opposite end of Gibbs Street at Beall Avenue, closing the street to vehicles.
