November brings farm-fresh fall produce from regional grower/producers on the final three Saturdays of the Rockville Farmers Market.
The market offers an opportunity to add local flavor to your Thanksgiving feast with fruits and vegetables, plants and flowers, herbs, baked goods, local beer and wine, knife sharpening, meat and coffee.
It is open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays, through Nov. 17 in the jury parking lot at the corner of E. Jefferson Street (MD 28) and Monroe Street in Rockville Town Center.
The market participates in the Maryland Market Money Program. The program helps provide greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables for customers using the Farmers Market Nutrition Program; the Women, Infants, and Children Fruit and Vegetable Check Program; and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps). Participants’ benefits are matched up to $5 each week while funds are available. Organizations or individuals wishing to contribute to the Maryland Market Money program should email [email protected].
