Green Eggs and Ham, and Oh-So-Much More, This Month at the F. Scott Theatre

Could you, would you, come to the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in November to enjoy a Seuss musical? How about solving a murder? Or enjoying a cappella? And a perennial favorite is back with balalaikas.

“Seussical,” presented by Rockville Musical Theatre. 8 p.m. Nov. 1, 2, 8 and 9; 2 p.m. Nov. 3 and 10.

Oh, the thinks you can think when Dr. Seuss’ best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper. Tickets cost $25; for seniors (62 and older) and students, $23.

Murder at the Mansion presents “With a Deadly Finish,” an interactive murder-mystery comedy. 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2; 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.

When a winery tour goes awry, everyone discovers that even the smoothest wine can end with a deadly finish.

Complimentary desserts and cash bar with beer, wine and soda will be available.

Tickets cost $35 per person or $60 per couple. Mission BBQ will provide a buffet 90 minutes before the show for $20 per person. Buffet and show tickets cost $55 per person or $100 per couple.

“Hearts and Harmony,” presented by the Heart of Maryland Chorus and Harmony Express Chorus. 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.

The Heart of Maryland Chorus of Sweet Adelines International and the Harmony Express Chorus of the Barbershop Harmony Society have joined forces to present an afternoon of song in the barbershop a cappella style, showcasing friendship in all forms.

Tickets cost $15; $7 for children 17 and younger. Call the box office for complimentary tickets for small children who can sit in your lap.
“Baikal to Brazil,” presented by the Washington Balalaika Society. 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.

A musical program spanning an amazing geographical area. The repertoire will include “A Tale of Lake Baikal,” capturing the mysterious sounds of the frozen waters of Russia’s Lake Baikal, to the rousing, bustling and rumba sound of “Brasileira” from Milhaud’s “Scaramouche Suite.”

“Theme and Variations,” presented by the Rockville Concert Band. 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.

Under the direction of Juan Gallastegui, the Rockville Concert Band will perform the classic composition technique of creating a theme, or borrowing one from the great composers, and exploring the possible variations.

No tickets required, but a $5 donation is suggested. Find out more about the band at www.rockvilleconcertband.org.
