Stay healthy, informed and entertained with seminars and events from the Rockville Senior Center in March.

Memory Café

The Benefits of Good Posture: Body Mechanics and Ergonomics (Rescheduled) 

Explore the advantages of maintaining good posture and using proper body mechanics. Learn how alignment can improve health, boost confidence, and enhance well-being with practical tips and exercises. Presented by Daniel Lentscher, director of industrial rehab, CAM Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation.

Aphasia Support Group 

Offers help to stroke survivors with aphasia to overcome social isolation through guided communication activities.

Laser Gum Therapy and Dental Tips (Rescheduled) 

Dr. Thy Nguyen, of Crown Dental, will discuss basic dental hygiene and health care, and explain how LANAP/ laser gum therapy is used for treatments.

Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month Webinar 

Dr. Otis Brawley of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center will discuss colorectal cancer prevention, screening, diagnostics and treatment, focusing on reducing racial, economic and social disparities in health care.
