Hearing About Development Review

Acting Director of Community Planning and Community Services Andrew Gunning.

Andy Gunning, acting director of Community Planning and Development Services, runs through the agenda at a development review listening session, Wednesday, Nov. 15.

The session was an opportunity for residents, developers and other stakeholders to talk to city staff about what does and doesn’t work in the city’s review process, and how the city can do better. What staff learned from the listening session will help improve the development review process by making it more efficient, timely and transparent. Based on the session’s feedback, staff will work internally to identify potential changes, and in early 2018 will bring those suggestions in a follow-up session to the Mayor and Council, and community.
