Help Name Rockville’s Newest Park

Rockville needs a name for a new park planned for the former site of Chestnut Lodge — and we want your help!

Send your name suggestions to the City Clerk/Director of Council Operations at cityclerk@rockvillemd.gov or City Clerk/Director of Council Operations Office, 111 Maryland Ave., Rockville, MD 20850. The deadline for submission is Friday, Jan. 19.

Suggestions for the name of the future park at Chestnut Lodge will be reviewed by the Recreation and Parks Advisory Board. The board then makes its recommendation to the Mayor and Council, which has the final decision-making authority.

The future park, which is made up of three parcels totaling 6.4 acres, is located at 500 W. Montgomery Ave. The Mayor and Council acquired the land earlier this year.
